What exactly does management manage? (The heart of management)

Get to the point by knocking on the blackboard.

The essence of management is to maintain order in the process of the organization or team leading to the achievement of goals, which is the role of management.

It can also be explained by the now-popular theory of entropy increase, which in physics represents an energy's degree of chaos. The law of increasing entropy can LEUNG Chung fanbe summarized in one sentence: the world will only become more chaotic.

Management is combating the law of entropy by transforming chaos into an orderly flow of activity.

Drucker advocated for self-management and stated in his book "The Effective Manager" that being effective is what managers must do; however, in all knowledge organizations, every knowledge worker is also a manager.

What is advertised is actually what is lacking. Because the entropy of knowledge workers is difficult to manage from the outside, Drucker proposed that every knowledge worker is also a manager.

The automated assembly line, on the other hand, is always stable, reliable, and safe to operate without interruption, so its entropy increase is essentially constant over time and is only monitored at a specific point in time.

Clearly not.

In the end, management is important to manage people, or the director is important.

What causes the entropy increase must be controlled, if not eliminated. To combat entropy increase, or even entropy reduction, we must employ optimization on a consistent basis.

We simply need to determine the impact of entropy increase factors, then identify, classify, and calculate percentages, and then confront the problem using control means.

Understand the nature of management, the first principle of management, the ultimate goal of management, more thinking, more practice, and you'll be a good manager in no time.

Even if you are in a high position, you do not understand these three points; in fact, the management level is not as good as grassroots managers who have long understood these three points.

When their (grassroots managers') management achievements improve, the management level will rise.

Do not understand the nature of management, senior managers must not perform well in the middle, grassroots managers; do not understand the nature of management grassroots even if promoted to the middle, the middle promoted to the top, is not good at higher management.

That grassroots management, middle management, and senior management each require what kind of ability to be competent for the positions of grassroots, middle, and senior management.

The key lies in the law of entropy and organizational behavior, which we will discuss in the following article.
